Staveley

A village 10 minutes drive away. I love to spend a few hours mooching round Staveley. It has an old mill yard where you can park for free. There is an easy walk by the river, enjoy the nature and the views over the fields. Our favourite bakery is called More, the sausage rolls (vegan or meat) and almond croissants are amazing. The local Post Office sells all sorts of things including great home-made cakes!

If you are into cycling the Wheelbase megastore is situated there. There is a quirky shop that sells only hand made goods made by local crafts people. (The Big Onion).Wilf’s café worth a visit, tables overlooking the river. Café Eclec is lovely for a bite to eat all home baked. Hawkshead Brewery has local ales…what more can I say .we like it there too!!!
